One hundred bottles of some of the best wine in the world are being opened this Saturday night at POUR. “Not exactly a class,” owner Robert Charles Volz, told me, “but a chance to try some of the best wines, perfectly stored, aged to perfection in a fun, relaxed atmosphere with a Master Sommelier Candidate on hand to answer any questions you might have.” In addition to the huge selection of “top-shelf” wines, they also will be pairing foods with them in the trendy Northeast Broadway hot spot. They sent me the entire list of all one hundred wines, their year and their region but it is too much information to pass along to you…trust me. I can ensure that whether you are looking to try a 1990 Dom Perignon or a 1985 French Bordeaux from Ch. Lynch-Bages Pauillac (or anything in between) you’ll find it Saturday night, March 24th at POUR, a neighborhood wine bar with a world class list. POUR is located at 2755 NE Broadway, Portland, OR 97232. You can RSVP to this event by emailing POUR@comcast.net or calling 503-267-2800, tickets are $100 and the event starts at 6pm. Only 50 tickets will be sold and last I heard only ten spots remained, so hurry because life is too short to drink cheap wine.
