Family Fun Fitness Night at Roseway Heights

Family Fun and Fitness night will be held Friday May 13, 2016 to promote the educational importance of eating right, being active and staying healthy. Looking for in-kind donations to help raise funds for special events and activities for Roseway Heights school and all of their students. Roseway Heights students come from a very diverse mix of economic backgrounds with a 42% free/reduced lunch population as of our 2012-2013 school statistics. Help Sleep Train help foster kids

There are over 400,000 children living in foster care in the United States, many of whom have entered the system with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Studies show that for many foster children, the challenges are just beginning. But Sleep Train knows it doesn’t have to be that way. With your help, we can provide foster children with the little things that make a big difference—like cozy new pajamas. Sleep Train’s Pajama Drive is on now! Help a local foster child today by bringing your gift of new pajamas in any size—from infant to teen—to Sleep Train. Or donate online at SleepTrainFosterKids.org, and the shopping will be done for you.

Polar Plunge Portland

Polar Plunge Portland is back on February 27, 2016 at Broughton Beach! The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support Special Olympics Oregon athletes by jumping, walking or slowly crawling into the frigid and icy Oregon waters. The event is open to the public, and all spectators are welcome free of charge. The best way to plunge is with a team! Get your friends, family members, co-workers and boss to take the plunge with you. Plus, there are some major incentives for those who raise the most money! Every participant must raise a minimum of $50 for the privilege of taking a wintry dip in an icy body of water and will receive a commemorative long-sleeve t-shirt and a bowl of soup, plus bragging rights! For more information or if you have any questions regarding the Portland Polar Plunge, please contact Ashley Allenby at 503.248.0600 ext. 39 polarplunge@soor.org.
